Jake's first Christmas in Brazil

We talked to Jake on Christmas!
He is doing great and had a wonderful Christmas.

He spent Christmas Eve at the
Ward Mission Leader's home and had lasagna.

Then he spent Christmas Day at a member's home and got to fish
in their pond out back that is stocked with fish.
He didn't catch anything but I am sure he will be back soon to try again.

Little Raider on the Way!

Kirk and Kallie are expecting a little Raider just in time for the 2011 football season! Kirk may think it'll be a Chicago Bear fan, but I think since it's mom is going to be doing most of the work she'll most likely choose.

Jake with Mission President

This is Jake (AKA Elder Halgren) with President and Sister Cordon when he arrived in the Brazil Curitiba Mission on September 27, 2010. It's not in chronological order but it took us that long to figure out how to get that picture posted here. Jake is doing great on his mission and thanks everyone for their support. He was omitted from the 2010 family Christmas picture---sorry Jake.

Thanksgiving

COLD & SNOWY AT THE HALGRENS
Why are these people smiling?
They just realized that with fewer people at home there were more spoils to be shared among the lucky few.
We were glad to have Grandma & Grandpa, Brek and Kirk & Kallie to share the Thanksgiving Break with us.

We had the traditional pre-meal basketball game, Black Friday shopping spree and of course games, games games. K2 won just about every one, but they had a month of practice prior to coming. With bad roads all around, we're glad that everyone made it here and home safely.

The better-looking half of K2 shows us how to play video games.
